Susan's Sweet Potato Supreme
Every family has that one dish that means more than the rest, and for us it's this sweet potato casserole. It's been made the same way for decades, shared at countless dinners, and lovingly passed from one generation to the next. It's cozy, comforting, and tied to so many special moments around our table.
Ingredients
- 4 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
- 2 Tbsp cream or milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup pecans
Instructions
- Bake sweet potatoes at 350° until fork tender, peel and mash.
- Stir in salt, cream and paprika.
- Spread into casserole dish.
- Make a topping by heating brown sugar and butter over medium low heat, stirring constantly until butter is just melted.
- Spread over sweet potatoes and arrange pecans on top.
- Bake at 350° until heated through, about 30-40 minutes.
